This Strat paid its dues, playing around our home town and across the country for a handful of years with one of my favorite local bands.
The guitar is all original, but there was a little wiring work done under the hood. It appears that there was a grounding issue at some point. The tremolo ground wire is covered in un-shrunk shrink tune and it has been unsoldered from the rest of the harness. The lead pickup wire also appears to have been unsoldered then returned.
Frets show even wear throughout. I can tell you because I did sound for the original owner's band many times - he played everywhere and was not just a cowboy chord player. This is a good thing in that the wear is even and thus the frets do not need work. He also work a thumb ring, so the back of the neck has more wear than I ever see on an American Standard.
The guitar set up well for us with room in the truss rod for future adjustment. It plays great and sounds great!
