We’re happy to have this completely original 1968 Fender Telecaster in Sunburst with a maple cap! You don’t see these too often in Sunburst, as the standard color at this time was Blond. The finish is poly by this time, and it’s in pretty decent shape with some light buckle rash. In the buckle rash area where the paint has chipped, it looks to have been exposed to moisture at some point. Thankfully, this is stable. The maple cap fretboard edges are smooth and incredibly comfortable up and down the neck, and the fret wear is also minimal. Fender slightly adjusted the Telecaster wiring by 1968, opting to use 1 Meg potentiometers that give the signal a bright, crisp boost. This example definitely has that punchy tone and much more!
Overall Condition: 8, light playwear, buckle rash area paint wear
