Description
Summary: Adventurous guitarists started hot-rodding their Telecasters in the late '60s and early '70s with big-sounding humbucking neck pickups that lent new style and swagger to rock music. The Classic Series '72 Telecaster Custom brings it all back as an authentic evocation of its early-'70s ancestor, including the distinctive Fender Wide Range humbucking neck pickup, a large pickguard, and skirted amp control knobs.

Body: Alder with a gloss Orange Sparkle finish.

Neck: Maple with a Maple fingerboard, 25.5” scale length, 1.650” nut width, 21 frets, black dot inlays, “C” shape.

Pickups/Hardware: Fender Wide Range humbucker (neck position), Fender single coil pickup (bridge position), Skirted Black Plastic knobs with Numbered Indicators, synthetic bone nut, 2x volume/2x tone controls/3-way pickup selector, “F” logo Fender tuning keys.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition and shows very little signs of use besides some wear on the pickguard. The high "E" string will start to choke out a bit above the 12th fret.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use.

Weight: 7.755 lbs.

Case: This guitar ships without a case, professionally packaged, and fully insured.
