1953 Fender® Telecaster® Danny Gatton Blonde/Natural, Very Good, Hard, $3,200.00

Big Price reduction. This isn't the Fender artist model. This is a luthier made reproduction of Danny's own 53 Tele. It looks pretty accurate to me right down to Willie Nelsons signature carved into the front. This Tele, besides being a must have for a Gatton aficionado, is a killer player. I've played virtually every year Tele ever made and this one does stuff no other Tele can do (like sound amazing on the neck pickup). The electronics are the same as Danny's-Barden pickups and a 1 meg tone pot-even has the same bend in the selector switch. The neck is a monster. Biggest fattest neck I've ever played. .98" at the first fret and well over 1" at the 12th. It even has a reproduction of his famous "Dingus" plate. From what I can tell, the guitar was made from an All Parts body and neck with some repro and some vintage parts. The relic work is spot on to the original 53 right down to the sticker residue and cigarette burns. Not to mention the cubic zirconia side markers. Woohoo. You have to hear this Tele to believe it. I can't put it down. The guitar was built by Carson Hess of Michigan.
