The original Telecaster Deluxe was released in 1972 and produced until around 1982. The Telecaster Deluxe was built to compete with Gibson's Telecaster Deluxe, and is unique among Fender guitars in that it features two humbucking pickups, making it a one-of-a-kind instrument.
The wide-range humbuckers on this pickup were designed by Seth Lover, who is also known as the developer of Gibson's original humbucking P.A.F. It produces a sound that is both fat and powerful, while retaining Fender's characteristic high frequencies.
