1953 Fender Tweed Deluxe 5C3 Wide Panel

The Fender 5C3 Deluxe from 1953 is woefully underappreciated as compared to later versions. Amp builders and experienced players know what they get from octal preamp tubes like the 6SC7s seen here. Just ask Vince Gill and Little Walter Amps.
The amp sounds rich when run clean and it can drive hard too. It runs well and sounds strong. All electrolytic caps have been updated and the work is clean, using quality parts. The Triad power transformer is original, and the output transformer was swapped out with a Pacific Transformer replacement.
The original Jensen P12R speaker is in place and sounding great.
The tweed is perfectly worn in, and the grille is original. The handle is an old replacement that matches the aesthetic.
The chrome chassis is in nice shape, void of rust and pitting that you often see. The screen printing shows some wear, but everything is readable. The masking tape inside shows that the amp was wired by Julia.
A solid, affordable Deluxe that really rips. You're going to love it.
