Description

1960’s Framus Texan 5/296 12 String in very good condition. This Framus has been professionally refretted and has a professionally repaired headstock crack. The guitar was constructed with a spruce top, maple ply sides, an arched maple ply back, and a multi-ply maple neck with a rosewood fretboard. The neck has a width of 1 11/16” at the nut, a depth of 0.95” at the first fret, and a depth of 1.05” at the twelfth fret. The guitar has a 24 3/4” scale and weighs 5.48 lbs. This Framus features a striking and exceedingly rare Antigua finish. An easy playing 12 string that has an interesting tone reminiscent of late 60’s and early 70’s rock records, particularly Ziggy Stardust era Bowie. Comes with a hardshell case.
