Description

Introducing the new Fryette Valvulator® GPDI/IR, Direct Recording Amplifier.

Sounds like a tube amp, because it is a tube amp

The Valvulator® GPDI/IR is a direct recording solution featuring an ultra-flexible All-Tube one-watt guitar amplifier specifically designed to deliver genuine dynamic tube amp sound and feel through a speaker cab, headphones, direct to mixing console, boosted by an external power amp and direct to FOH for unmatched simplicity and utility everywhere and anywhere.

Use Ours or Load Your Own

The GPDI/IR is the only solution that provides two integrated cabinet sim options.

A Digital Cab IR loader complete with memory space for 16 cabs, including 8 of our most popular cabs. You can also load your favorite cabs via the front panel USB port.

A tunable All-Analog cab filter for zero latency and expansive dynamic range.

Use both individually or simultaneously. You can also defeat the cab sim and use external IRs.

Professional-Quality Reamp Solution

The new GPDI/IR includes a Unity Gain Direct Out for recording your raw guitar pickup output to a track, and a rear panel Reamp Input to reprocess that track into a new performance with no external accessories required.

Add A Channel

This feature allows you to add the GPDI Clean and Overdrive sounds to virtually any existing rig. Using External Amp Mode, you can now connect the GPDI/IR to any amp with an effects loop. Switch between normal and external mode remotely via an external footswitch or remote function.

Effects Loop

This long-requested feature allows you to:

1)      Insert effects between the GPDI/IR tube preamp and tube power amp stage.

2)      Drive the GPDI/IR tube power amp stage from an external preamp, modeler or Synergy Modular System.

3)      Insert effects into your signal path when running the GPDI/IR in External Amp Mode.

Drive a Cab

The One-Watt tube power amp stage in the GPDI/IR will easily drive a 4, 8 or 16-Ohm 112, 212 or 412 cab. Then mic the cab and track at super low volume for quiet recording.

Dynamics Control

The Sag function on the GPDI/IR has been refined to offer greater range, bloom, touch sensitivity and sustain regardless of pickup type. This is the key to natural touch sensitivity, pick attack and sustain unattainable from any modeler or standalone preamp

Product SpecsFEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS The Valvulator GP/DI has many functions and most of them can be performed simultaneously! Every output has a signal present as long as there is something plugged into the front panel Input or rear panel Auxiliary Input and the front panel controls are set accordingly. All Tube 1-Watt amplifier with integrated load: Powered by four dual triode tubes, the Valvulator GP/DI delivers 1 watt or more into an 8 or 16 ohm speaker cabinet. The integrated load is active when no speaker cable is connected to the speaker output jack. This is ideal for silent/direct recording, slaving to a larger amplifier or practicing with headphones and creates the reactive relationship between the guitar and the amplifier. The Valvulator GP/DI works with you, not against you. Broad tonal range with three tube amp voicings: The three voicings; Clean, Deliverance (old-school crunch), and Pittbull (modern up-front detail), are coupled with the two independent gain controls and the “More/Less” switch give you virtually every level of performance you could hope for, from bell-like chime to massive gain. Fully-functioning dry-tracking and re-amping capability: Guitar and bass players with digital audio workstations can use the Valvulator GP/DI’s Direct Out 1 to run an unaffected signal into a recording interface, or add warmth and gain to an already existing track by sending a dry track into the Aux Input of the Valvulator GP/DI for re-amping. Proprietary analog Cab + Mic simulator with “Air” switch: Fryette’s Cab+Mic simulation creates additional nuance to guitar tone that is typically produced by the way a speaker cabinet and a microphone work together in a room. Practice in silence with the headphone amp using dedicated stereo effects: The Valvulator GP/DI sends a mono signal to the FX Send and can accept a stereo signal to the FX Returns for use with external effects such as delays, reverbs and chorus pedals. Practice or record at low volumes with a speaker cabinet: Plug the Valvulator GP/DI into an 8 or 16 ohm cabinet for a 1-watt practice amp perfect for small studio recording.
