Here we have a wild Gagliano branded Hofner Model 172 in the cool and decidedly unique Brokat Vinyl wrap.
When this guitar walked in the door I didn't really know anything about it - one had never crossed my path. I knew it was cool as heck, but that's about it.
Our process found that it is 100% original and that, while it doesn't play like a 60s Strat or something, it is a very cool guitar.
I did some work on the body edge binding as it tends to shrink. It was lifted out of the body route in the cutaway areas, so I nipped it at the bass side horn, by the strap button, and re-wrapped it back into place. The guitar was cleaned up, pots and switches and all, and re-strung. The action is a little high, but it does have 10-46 strings on it, and as mentioned above - it isn't a Fender or Gibson, but it does actually play better than I thought it would and there is some room left in the truss rod for future adjustment.
Comes with what looks like an 80s chipboard case.
