The 1974-1975 SG STANDARD is a very appealing era for Gibson, as it differs in appearance and specifications from the often-issued 1960s SGs.
The 3-piece mahogany neck with volute, before the change to a maple neck, has only a 39mm nut section, is slim and tapered, has an 18-fret set joint, which was the specification from around 1971 to 1978, and above all, the look of the wide travel bridge is particularly The pickups are not visible from the front.
The pickups are not visible from the front, but from the back, they are completely molded pickups with humbucking called "Super Humbucker". The name suggests a high-gain image, but the sound is not that strong, and there is not much difference in sound from a normal humbucker.
The neck joint has been reinforced and the body crack has been repaired, but the frets and nut have been replaced and the guitar is in good playing condition.
This is a lovely SG with many points of interest to those who have seen many different Gibson guitars.
