2010 Gibson '59 ES-335 Historic Makeover "Sunburst"

This 2010 ES-335 was built by the renowned Memphis Custom Shop division of Gibson guitars as a faithful recreation of the '59 "dot neck" model; a guitar that has become one of the holy grails of vintage electrics. The original owner then sent this to Historic Makeovers in Florida where it received their "Deluxe Makeovers" package, which includes the re-gluing of all joints with period-correct hide glue, re-shaping of the neck to a vintage spec "C" Shape, the installation of a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, as well as the installation of period correct Royalite binding. The instrument is then refinished in unplasticized anolyne die for the truest and most faithful recreation of a vintage guitar available. This guitar has been lightly aged with authentic weather checking making this truly as close as it gets to the real thing. All of the original paperwork from both Gibson and Historic Makeovers is included.
