This 1957 Gibson Byrdland in Natural is a real beauty, and it plays even better than it looks! The Byrdland was Gibson’s attempt at making a more streamlined version of the L-5 but in a smaller package. With the help and input from Hank Garland and Billy Byrd, the “Byrdland” was born. Gibson’s production numbers show just 52 finished in Natural made in this entire year. This exact instrument is in great condition, with some light playwear and finish checking. The neck has a nice full feel in the hand, and the lightly worn original frets still have plenty of life left in them. This guitar is fully original with just one strap button added by the neck heel.
Overall Condition: 8.5, playwear, weather checking, and light patina
