This 1964 guitar looks newer than the 1968 C&W on my site. It has hardly been out of its case. Binding is white - no yellowing and overall the guitar appears only a few years old.
Nice low action.
Very strong bright and jangly high notes with deep bass for acoustic blues.
1964 seems a benchmark year for Gibson dreds- every one I have played is great- after 1964 the guitars got heavier and (except for 1968) are not always as exceptional. Plastic saddles must be evaluated on a piece by piece basis.
