牛の血を意味するオックスブラッドカラーが特徴
惜しまれつつ2023年1月10日にこの世を後にした、伝説の3大ギターリストの一人ジェフ・ベック。ボガート&アピス結成直後位からアルバムBlow by Blow頃位までジェフ・ベックがメインで使用していた1954年のゴールド・トップ・レスポールをリフィニッシュして更にハムバッキングを搭載したレスポールが通称オックス・ブラッド。つい先日サザビーズのオークションにて2億600万の値段を付けたオリジナルのオックス・ブラッドを忠実に再現したモデル。オックス・ブラッドとは牛の血の意味でボディのカラーリングからこの名前が付けられています。シャーラー製のロトマチックペグやワンプライの黒アジャストカバー、ロゴ無しのトグルプレート、スピードノブ、ピックガード、太めのネックグリップ、極端にブリッジに寄りに搭載されたリアピックアップ等ディテールを徹底的に追求しています。他では類を見ないレスポールでファン必見の1本。B’zの松本孝弘氏が2019年に発表したアルバムNEW LOVEでこのモデルを使った事でも注目を集めたモデル。氏自身バーブリッジの演奏性も見直し「バーブリッジでもチューニング安定してるよ」とお褒めのお言葉も頂いた折り紙付きのモデルです。
