Gibson Custom Shop 1999 Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Reissue 40th Anniversary “Killer Top”

This is a 1999 "1959 Les Paul Reissue" model produced to commemorate the 40th anniversary of 1959.

This is the first year of the aged model, which is also highly regarded for its greatly improved specs, and is a rare 'Killer Top' model made from the finest maple.

The top has a hard feel with a three-dimensional grain and flecks that change expression depending on the angle, and weighs 3.92kg, which is relatively light for a wood of this age.

Two original 57Classic pickups are installed.

There are large dents and scratches near the switchback plate, slightly deep dents on the back edge (near the elbow), several small dents on the body top, buckle marks and multiple dents and scratches on the body back, multiple dents on the body sides, overall reddish color fading mainly on the back and sides of the neck, and multiple scratches on the back of the neck. The frets are slightly dented, mainly in the low position of the plain strings, but overall there is about 80-90% remaining, and the neck and truss rod are in good condition.
