2025 Gibson Custom Shop '61 SG Standard Cherry
Cherry, VOS finish, recent trade in on a vintage SG. This has beautiful wood with its one piece mahogany body and one piece neck. One piece bodies have better consistency of tone with only one resonating surface. Has a nice feeling neck with medium jumbo frets and a 12” radius. Has the long tenon neck joint with hide glue construction, like grandpa used to make. These have Nice hardware and a light aluminum stoptail which doesn’t eat sustain like heavier material. Has geeky details like butyrate pickup rings and a wide border pickguard. Has great sounding Alnico 3 unpotted pickups. This one is set up great and has really nice wood grain. There are so many SG heroes like Angus Young, Clapton, Zappa and Joey Molland. SG’s are lighter and crisper than a Les Paul. This has all of the original papers and coa in the original hard case.
