Gibson Custom Shop 2011 Ace Frehley “Budokan” Les Paul Custom VOS
This is the "Ace Frehley Budokan Les Paul Custom VOS" model, produced in a limited edition of 150.
It is a reproduction of the Les Paul Custom used by Ace Frehley on his 1977 Japan tour, with a 3-piece maple top, bright cherry sunburst finish, Grover square pearloid button tuners, screw hole marks from tuner replacement, strap pin replacement marks and speed knob.
As with the early 1970s specs, the body is a pancake construction with maple in between, and the neck is 3-piece mahogany with volute.
The pickups are a Dimarzio PAF on the neck and centre and a Dimarzio Super Distortion on the bridge, with the neck and centre pickups dummy and only the bridge is wired just like the model he used.
There is only one scratch on the body top (under the bridge) and a few shallow scratches and pockmarks on the body back. The guitar is in very good condition considering for its age.
The frets are hardly worn and the neck and truss rod are in good condition with no problems.
