1958年に発売されたES-335は幾多の名プレイヤーに演奏され数々の名演を生み出してきた、セミアコースティックギターの代名詞です。ES-335の特徴はボディ内部の中央部分にソリッドセンターブロックを内蔵している所です。これによりアコースティックギターの様なふくよかな温かみのあるサウンドがありながら、ソリッド・ギターに近い振動系を作り出し、サステイン豊かなトーンを生み出します。
