2001 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul 1954 Reissue Black

Here is a beautiful 2001 Gibson LP Custom / 1954 Reissue . This was the top of the line Les Paul in the day , with the gold hardware , multiple layers of binding and a Bigsby . This model is true to the original with an all Mahogany body , factory Bigsby , and a great set of vintage style pickups . The all Mahogany body generally produces a slightly darker tone , the neck pickup is an Alnico V Staple (P-480), these pickups are wound a bit brighter to compensate for the darker tone of the Mahogany body , the bridge pickup is a straight up vintage output P-90. In 2001 the stock machine heads were Grovers , a Shaller roller bridge was added to help with tuning stability with the Bigsby ( can be easily converted back to an ABR). The guitar shows very minor player wear and is in great structural shape with no breaks . W/OHSC , unfortunately no COA
