Gibson Custom Shop 2021 Murphy LAB 1959 Les Paul Light Aged
This "1959 Les Paul Custom Ultra Heavy Aged" has been aged by Murphy Lab, a team specializing in aging led by Tom Murphy, a leading expert in aging.
The "Light Aged" finish is the second lowest of the four levels of aging available in the Murphy Lab Collection, and it reproduces the fine weather checks throughout the body and dents on the edge.
The well-proportioned and beautifully figured flamed maple is finished in a not-too-bright cherry sunburst, and the fingerboard is made of dark shade rosewood.
The all-hide gluing and parts have been carried over from the True Historic series, and vintage taper pots and bumblebee type oil capacitors have been used.
The neck is an Authentic 59 Medium "C" shape, a shape used since 2018 and very slightly thinner than previous '59 models.
The pickups are equipped with un-potted Custombucker.
The guitar is in very good condition with little signs of wear, not much fret wear, and no problems with the neck or truss rod.
