Gibson Custom Shop 2021 Murphy LAB 1959 Les Paul Light Aged
This "1959 Les Paul Custom Light Aged" has been aged by Murphy Lab, a team of aging specialists led by Tom Murphy, a leading expert in the field of aging.
The "Light Aged" finish is the second lowest of the four levels of aging available in the Murphy Lab collection, and it reproduces the fine weather checks throughout the instrument and the dents on the edge.
The body is made from beautifully figured flame maple and finished in Royal Tea Burst.
Vintage taper pots and bumblebee type oil capacitors are equipped.
The neck is an Authentic 59 Medium "C" shape, a shape used since 2018 and very slightly thinner than earlier '59 models.
The pickups are equipped with un-potted Custombuckers.
The frets have a very shallow dent in the low-position plain string area, but there is not much wear elsewhere, and there are no problems with the neck or truss rod.
