The "1964 ES-335 Murphy Lab Heavy Aged" model has been aged by Murphy Lab, a team led by Tom Murphy that specializes in aging.
The "Heavy Aged" finish is the second most intense of the four levels of aging available in the Murphy Lab Collection, and the stripped paint on the neck and body, as well as the weather check on the front, have been reproduced to give the guitar a dignified appearance.
It is a reproduction of the 1964 specs with a slightly slimmer horn, short pickguard, block position markers, nylon bridge, double ring Kluson tuners, etc.
Weighing 3.59 kg, it is relatively light for an ES-335 model. The neck shape is a ”64 Medium C”, which is slightly thicker than the early 60s models, and an un-potted Custombucker pickups are installed.
The guitar is in excellent condition with almost no signs of wear.
There is no fret wear, and the neck and truss rod are both in good condition.
