Here's another one-of-a-kind Gibson.
This guitar was auctioned in 2006 by Gibson to raise money for charity. The company was moving the custom shop and cleared out some cool stuff.
This is the only Gibson Les Paul Acoustic out there with humbuckers and the standard under-saddle bridge. It very much looks like a prototype, which makes some sense since there isn't another one to be found. The finish is satin, the output jack plates don't fit the curve of the body perfectly, there never was a truss rod cover, and there is no serial umber.
The branded "Roadworn" stamp on the back of the neck is the common thread for guitars that were auctioned as mentioned above. Online research showed that all the auctioned guitars were branded as such to differentiate them and make sure they didn't hit store shelves as new guitars.
The guitar plays really well. Despite the prototype look to some of the work, the frets and neck are right on.
You get a ton of flexibility here. There is one output jack for the acoustic system, which sounds better than you think. There is another for the electric setup, which is based around factory Gibson PAF labeled humbuckers. It appears that the pickups were gold and now have chrome covers. The pole pieces are gold if you look at the back of the pickups.
As for the controls, the two rotary pots on the treble side edge of the body are not used. These controls are typically the only controls on the standard production model. The four knobs with the typical Les Paul layout function like this: the knob closest to the bridge is the neck pickup volume. The one below that is the bridge volume. The jack closest to the end strap button is the piezo/bridge saddle pickup volume. The knob closest to the output jack is a master tone control for either the piezo or the humbuckers.
There are two output jacks. Using the output jack closer to the waist of the guitar splits the output signal, sending the electric output out this jack and the acoustic out the jack closer to the lower bout strap button. Using only the jack closest to the lower bout strap button gets a combo of the acoustic and electric pickups.
All in all, this is a remarkably flexible guitar that plays well and lands in the realm of rarity.
Comes with an original Gibson Custom Shop hard case.
