With the stunning Custom Shop Gibson SG Custom 2-Pickup electric guitar, the SG gets the tuxedo treatment — decorated in a stylish ebony gloss finish with gold hardware and a matching ebony pickguard.
This Custom Shop addition takes the engine and aesthetics of the iconic Les Paul Custom and applies them to the SG platform. Built in America, this guitar features a one-piece solid mahogany body with a multi-ply binding, along with a smooth solid mahogany 1960 SlimTaper profile neck home to a comfortable solid ebony fingerboard with twenty-two medium jumbo frets adorned with mother-of-pearl block inlays.
The 490R and 498T humbucker pickups installed compliment a wide range of sonic possibilities, from clean jazz to the heaviest distortion — all controlled by the two volume controls, two tone controls and a three-way toggle switch. Combining these amazing pickups with the stellar Custom Shop design, the result is a huge-sounding, fast-playing and classy-looking instrument that will bring out the best in any player!
