Here we have a 1973 Gibson EB-0L bass that’s all original (except for an added strap button) and ready to hold down the low end with authority. This bass has general playwear and few minor bumps and scrapes, but nothing egregious. Most EB-0s that you see will be short scale, but this is the long scale version, hence the L in EB-0L.
Original plastic nut measures 1 5/8 inches. The Mahogany neck has a scale length of 34 inches. Neck depth at the first fret is .81 inches and at the twelfth fret .98. Rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets. One big humbucker, sometimes referred to as “mud-bucker.” The sound is anything but muddy, however. It’s got a huge, round low end. Original Schaller-made bridge.
Comes with a non-original hardshell case. Grab this long-scale Gibson EB bass and head for the stage nearest you.
