Description

The wear on this original 1959 Gibson EB-2N speaks volumes to how much its former owner loved playing it, and we can’t blame them! Only 60 of these EB-2s were made in Natural during 1959 versus the 203 Sunburst models of the same year, so we’re happy to have this one available. This particular example has beautiful weather checking throughout, and the Natural finish has gained a nice even patina throughout. This bass features Gibson’s original single-coil pickup design, and was described in the Gibson catalog as “‘powerful Alnico magnetic pickup,” and it certainly packs a punch!

Overall Condition: 7.5, buckle rash, weather checking, patina
