This 1937 Gibson Double Neck Electric Hawaiian Lap Steel guitar is an extremely rare Gibson lap steel. In the 1937 Gibson catalog this is referred to as a "Double Neck Electric Hawaiian Guitar" but I have also seen a few similar lap steels referred to an EH-150 DN. I've only ever seen this exact configuration in the catalog and some other versions have knobs and in different places and configurations. This one is in good shape but does show very heavy wear. The Charlie Christian pickups are both working great but the one for the 8 string neck has been professionally rewound. Both of the pickups are well balanced with each other. The tuners have also all been changed and one of them in a vintage Grover. The instrument has a lot of cosmetic wear. The lap steel appears to have some type of non original pickguards screwed onto the front at one time. There are some body cracks in the wood near each pickup. They do not appear to go deep into the wood and do not require repair. There is some heavy blemishes on the front of the headstocks. The lap steel comes with the original hard shell case. Please look at the pictures and message with questions.
