Here's a tasty one! This is one of 512 Gibson ES-125TDCs made in 1961, and one of very few with a factory Bigsby.
This one is really fun to play. I've always dug these guitars. My very first vintage guitar was a one-pickup version of the 125 - a guitar that changed my ideas about guitars, ultimately changing the course of my professional life!
This two-pickup version with the cutaway is far more useable than that guitar that gave me the vintage virus. It is a beautiful, all original example that plays perfeclty.
The frets show light pitting, but there is plenty of life left to them and there is no pitting of the fretboard.
The neck is relatively thin - right in that 60's Gibson profile range that is not super thin like a 1960, but a good deal less heft than a late 50's guitar.
The case is a rare variant - a high-quality, brown, semi-hard case that is more substantial than the alligator cases of the era. The handle is broken, but it is simple to add a "rescue" case handle, thanks to the brackets they used on this type of case.
This is a great package - a beautiful guitar and case - even the original guitar cable is included!
