This one is pretty outstanding!

This guitar has been played, but you wouldn't guess at first glance. Play is evidenced in the fretboard, where you do see some pitting in the lower register. Frets show some wear as well of course. It is really hard to tell if the frets have been changed or not. I don't think they have because the ends look perfect and the fret shape is correct.

The other area you can see the evidence of play is a small, small area of wear on the lower bout where your arm rests. There is the slightest crescent of wear through he finish.

The finish is beautiful with light checking here and there, extremely strong color and gorgeous shine.

The parts are similarly clean. Look at the pickup covers and tuners - remarkable!

Everything is original with the exception of the tailpiece and the bridge. This change added one small screw hole at the end of the guitar. And, the parts are late 60's Gibson, probably from an ES-175. The bridge is the patent number ABR-1 with nylon saddles.

All other parts are original.

This is a killer player with great feel and a sweet roll to the edge of the fingerboard. The neck is chunky, but not as large as other 58s I've played.

The output jack area has been very carefully and skillfully glued. See the pics. This area clearly weakened, but it is super strong and stable.

The original case is in similarly awesome condition.

A great package, and a guitar that has been really hot lately!
