My oh my are we smitten with this one! New video demo added - see the pictures! Also see the video demo we just added!
Just in, a rare ES-295 from 1955. It is just a beauty.
The 295 is essentially a dressed-up ES-175, really dressed up! The gold hardware on the gold finish is deluxe. When you really start to gaze at it closely, you catch other things - the patina of the finish, the swirl in the original, cream pickup covers, the gold-bonnet knobs with that dishy shrinkage in the top that proves they're original.
Two changes from original are present: an added strap button on the neck heel and a refret with some pretty large frets. The fret work was professionally performed, and they feel great. They are definitely larger than the originals, just to let you know. Everything else is original, right down to the solder joints.
The original brown case is included as well.
