2002 Gibson ES-333 Satin Cherry

Summary: This Gibson es-333 is an incredible instrument and compares to the es-335 in most ways. In order to keep cost down a bit they have given it a satin finish rather than gloss, silk screen headstock logo instead of a pearloid inlay, no crown on headstock and awesome sounding uncovered humbuckers. Another change they made to the 333 is the addition of a back cavity with cover for easier access to the electronics which makes for easier pickup changes and is something that anyone who has ever worked on the electronics of a 335 will appreciate. It is in great shape, sounds incredible and ships in its original Gibson hard-shell case, fully packed, padded and insured!

Body: The body is a full sized semi-hollow body with laminate maple, cream binding, maple center block, satin cherry finish and no pickguard.

Neck: Mahogany neck with a satin cherry finish, cream bound rosewood fretboard with pearloid dot inlays, 24 ¾” scale length and 1 11/16” nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: The pickups are Gibson 490R and 498T humbuckers, wire tune-o-matic, stop-bar tailpiece, 2 volume, 2 tone, 3 way toggle with cream tip and Gibson Deluxe tuning machines with green keystone pegs.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in pretty fine shape and looks great but does have some minor nicks and dings. There are a few dents and buckle creases on the back, a handful of small round dings on the top and 3 small dents on the back of the neck. The frets are high, round, smooth and have close to zero wear on them at all.

Playability: Our in house luthier has just inspected, set up and restrung this Gibson with a new set of 10s and it plays and sounds great. The action is low the neck is straight and plays like a dream up and down the fingerboard.
