Late 58 ES-335. All original, big fat neck with a good neck angle and sealed PAFs. This is a no issue, no excuses 58. Even the tuner tips are original. They only made 267 sunburst 58's and most were unbound necks-this is bound. This one is closer in size to an early 59 at .90" at the first fret and 1.00" at the 12th. 58's are generally .87-.88" at the first. Original frets show little wear and there is no wear to the very dark Brazilian board. There is also virtually no wear to the back of the neck-a couple of tiny scrapes is all. PAF's measure 8.0K and 8.46K with the hotter in the neck (which, contrary to what you read,is often a good thing). Original finish is vibrant and clean with a few tiny nicks here and there. There is very little checking anywhere. I could probably call this near mint but I'm pretty conservative about that, so I'll stick with excellent and let you be pleasantly surprised.
Original brown Lifton case is in very good condition.
