The best of the best ES-335's were built in late 1958 and early 1959. Some of these "thin top" 335's were shipped later in 59 and a few in 1960. Most have a "T" factory order number meaning the build was started in 1958. This gorgeous flame top late, late 58 is a monster player. The thin tops can be fragile but this one has escaped the usual stress cracks around the jack. Condition is 9+ (near mint) and has no issues of any kind. The neck angle is not the early 58 that requires a low profile or shaved bridge. The bridge on this 335 in full height. It sits nearly on the top of the guitar but that's not a bad thing. Neck is chunky .88" at the first fret and .98" at the 12th. PAFs are factory sealed with full stickers. Top has some very attractive figure-unusual for a 335. Original brown Lifton case. You can't go wrong with this spectacular example. 59's get all the glory but a late 58 is everything you want in a 59.
