It's been a very long time since a no issue stop tail blonde 1959 ES-335 has come on the market. I haven't had one in nearly 4 years. There was one sold at auction in July of 2021. There have been a couple of 60's and 58's and a few with Bigsbys (including one I still have) but this is the first one to come along in 3 and a half years. And it's a beauty. It has not been played much since then. Condition is 9+/10. There is a small stain in the bass side cutaway. The tuner tips have been replaced. There is no wear but some very light checking only at the bass side cutaway. The solder on the PAF pickups is sloppy but there is no sign that they have ever been out of the guitar (original solder on the pots). This one is a later 59 with the medium neck. Measurements are .84" at the first and .90" at the twelfth. Sealed PAFs read 7.76B and 8.0KN-it's worth noting that the solder is rather sloppy but I've seen this method many times on Gibsons. The covers may have been off at some point but I don't think so. I usually go by the edges of the covers-they usually get slightly bent when removed-these are straight and look untouched. Frets are original and in excellent condition. Condition is 9+. There is no checking and no wear. The only flaws are a small ding in the top and a circular area inside the bass side cutaway where something reacted with the finish (see photo). Case is excellent Gibson badged brown with pink. I don't think there is a cleaner blonde 59 anywhere.Tone and playability are extraordinary. They only made 71 blondes in 59 and this is probably one of the top few for condition from that magical year.
