If you are looking for a PAF 335 but your budget is a little short in this rising market, there are some compromises you can make that will save you thousands but will not sacrifice any tone. Bigsby or other tremolo equipped 335's tend to be priced 15 to 25% lower than stop tails. Most of them already have the stop tail bushiongs installed either under a "Custom Made" plaque or, sometimes, under a pair of pearl dots. The trouble is that a Bigsby leaves two holes in the top, a Maestro (Lyre) leaves up to six holes. But a sideways trem doesn't leave any holes in the top. Take off the unit and drop in a stop tail. Yes, there will be four holes at the end pin but, really, who cares. Nobody sees them. This 61 is super clean with a wide flat neck profile. Neck measures .80" at the first fret and .90" at the 12th so it is not the notorious "blade" neck. It is all original with no issues. Sealed PAFs. Near mint original case.
