This is a great playing and sounding Gibson ES-335 from 1963. It has some issues but the finish is original, there are no neck breaks or repairs, and most of the parts are original. There is a filled mini toggle hole by the controls, and 4 small filled screw holes around the tailpiece that we are not sure what they were ever for. Three of the four pots appear to be original and the pickups appear to be original patent sticker pickups with original covers but the covers have been off at some point in the past. The bridge is a correct ABR-1, but the tailpiece is a wraparound style stop tail bridge from this era so not original. The tuners are later 60's era klusons and this guitar had Grovers at some point. There is also some binding repaired and replaced from the middle of the 12th fret to the middle of the 17th fret on the bass side of the neck. The repair is stable and the neck is still very much playable. The neck measure .818" deep at the 1st fret, .871" deep at the 7th fret and .926" deep at the 12th fret. The nut width is 1 11/16ths. The patent sicker pickups read 9.08K for the bridge and 7.48K for the neck. Despite all the wear, this is a great playing instrument with a fantastic feeling neck. It has been pro-setup in our shop and it comes with the original case shown in the photos.
