This is a 1964/65 ES-335 known around the internet as "The Mexican". I bought this guitar five or so years ago from a gentleman in Guadalajara where this guitar had been for decades. It is one of the very first 335's to ship in 1965. It retains all of the 64 features-stop tail, big neck profile, uncut center block, Brazilian board, nickel hardware, etc. What sets it apart is that it is probably the very first cherry sunburst ES-335 and one of only two stoptail cherry sunbursts known. I sold the guitar to a gentleman in Austria a number of years ago and then it went to Australia. Now I've bought it back and it's on its way home after its world tour. This guitar has been to more interesting places than I have (and I travel a lot). It is a wonderful player and a great looker too. It was one of my favorites.
