2013 Gibson Custom Shop ES-335 in Excellent Condition. Orange label reads ESDP-335; guitar is an ESDPEBNH1 (Electric Spanish Dot Plain EBony Nickel Hardware) according to the Gibson Certificate of Authenticity and warranty card. Pre-Pack Checklist is dated 3/14/13, was first sold in NYC 6/3/13 and then sold to current owner in October 2013.
Weighing in at 8 lbs. 6 oz., guitar is in superb condition seeing little playing use with either owner. Finish has minimal light scratches, about right for a ten year old guitar that's rarely been played. What makes this one a rare beauty is the '61 profile thin dot neck with incredible action; frets show little wear. Did I forget to mention the tone of these wonderful creatures? Some tarnish to the bridge and tailpiece. Grover tuners, shorter '60s style pickguard. Also included as part of the build was a set of '61 style top hat knobs for that true '61 style look, '50s style bonnet knobs are currently installed. Original pink-lined Gibson hard case in excellent condition.
Some neck spex:
Width at 1st fret 1.725 in. 12th fret 2.031 in. Thickness 1st fret .806 in. 12th fret .903 in
NOTE: Photo of the back of headstock shows a reddish cast on the embossed type. This is due to residual polishing compound from the factory. It has since been removed. Also, the hardware in some of the photos has taken on a slight warmish golden tone; this is due to the color of some of the lighting. All hardware is nickel plated.
Our black guitars have been incredibly difficult to photograph. Especially in trying to show all of the imperfections and still maintaining a good balance on the white and chrome or nickel parts. In these photos, most of the body areas that show unevenness of color, white streaks or colored patterns are usually showing reflections. Any finish damages or imperfections of color are always addressed in text and shown in photos the best way we know how.
Thanks!
