This 1998 Gibson ES-335 Limited Edition is in excellent condition. This guitar shows only very light signs of play wear throughout including some really faint pick scratches on the pickguard. Otherwise, this guitar is extremely tidy and appears to have been very well cared for. This 335 has a slim 60s style neck profile with nice pronounced shoulders and a flatter center. This neck is very comfortable and very easy to play. The fret wire shows very light, minor wear but is very tall with tons of life left. This guitar plays exceptional up and down the ebony fingerboard with low action and excellent intonation. This 335 is an outstanding player - very smooth with no buzz or fretting out.
This original Gibson ‘57 Classic humbucking pickups sound superb in this instrument. These pickups have a very open articulate yet woody quality that excel through an overdriven amp and also work exceptionally well for big, round clean tones. A perfect guitar for rock, rhythm and blues and also because of the ebony fingerboard, this guitar seems to offer just a tad bit more snap and cut. The translucent blue finish is very attractive and vibrant especially paired with the black binding and ebony fingerboard. If you are looking for a unique 335 that sounds and plays exceptional, this one is top notch!
