Who buys vintage guitars? We do!
Call 530-570-1525 or email sales@maharsvintageguitars.com to sell your vintage guitar, bass, amplifier, etc - one piece or a collection! We are always ready to buy instruments, amps and effects from Fender, Gibson, Martin, Epiphone, Rickenbacker, Gretsch, Marshall, Vox and just about anything else related to musical instruments.
This 1972 ES-335 is in remarkably clean, all-original condition. It plays perfectly with full, original frets and perfect action.
The early 70s 335 has a mahogany neck, versus the maple neck introduced in 1975. It makes a big difference in the tone of the guitar, and keeps it closer to to the sound of the coveted 60s models.
1972 Gibsons were outfitted with the Gibson embossed pickups you see here - "patent sticker" pickups that also lend to the great sound of the 335s from this period. This is the only year Gibson adorned their guitars with these pickup covers.
The case is not original to the guitar. It is likely a year or two newer and shows more wear than you might expect to see with a guitar this clean.
We checked everything on the guitar - right down to the fully functioning truss rod.
We see a lot of people search for good guitars from their birth year. For you born in '72, this would be a great buy-and-hold piece!
