Why buy a reissue when you can get the real thing!! I’m retiring this year and am selling off my collection. For Sale is an Original Gibson 1959 ES345 players grade guitar. I took this in a trade years ago and it was stripped of all parts. I put it together with repro parts to see if I wanted to keep it. The guitar turned out to be the best guitar I’ve ever owned. There’s nothing like the tone of an Old Wood guitar made during Gibson’s Golden Era. The guitar is loud acoustically, very resonant and has all Original Woods, Original Bindings, Original Inlays and Original Factory Finish. The guitar has been refretted with Jescarr 6100 frets and a new Ivory nut. Repro parts are: OX4 PAF style pickups, CTS premium 500K pots with Luxe Bumble Bee caps, (I wired the guitar up like a ES-335 and put a maple plug where the rotary switch was located. The plug was pressed in, not glued and can be taken out if someone wants to install a rotary switch ) Callaham ABR1 Bridge, 2” brass 6/32 bridge posts, Cream Tone featherweight tailpiece, Grover tuners, repro plastic. The guitar is in very good condition for being 58 years old with some weather checking, dings, nicks and honest play wear. The guitar comes with a 1960’s Gibson HS case.
