1959 Gibson ES-345 Sunburst

Incoming. Late 59's have what we call a "transitional" neck profile. It's decidedly medium and these necks have become very popular among ES players. The big early 59's are great but they aren't for everybody. The hype of big neck = big tone is a myth and always has been. Just ask anybody who plays a Fender. What's not a myth is early PAFs. This 59 is all original except for the conversion from stereo/Varitone to 335 spec. The original 59 harness was used to make the "new" harness. Frets look to be original although the nibs are worn away at the lower frets. All other parts are original. Never had any repairs or changed parts. Original PAFs-the bridge pickup cover was removed in order to flip the magnet to put the pickups in phase (stereo Gibsons have out of phase pickups). It has been replaced and re-soldered. Condition is 9/10 due mostly to moderate checking in the top and back. Very minimal wear anywhere on the guitar. Original brown with pink lined case.
