1966 Gibson Freddie King's ES-355 Red

FREDDIE KING IS THE GREATEST ELECTRIC BLUES GUITARIST IN HISTORY.

He was the main source of guitar inspiration for Eric Clapton, Peter Green, and Mick Taylor (to just name a very few)

Freddy owned a few guitars in his day but this is the only one that has been offered on the market for sale. He played this 355 in the later 60's to 1970 before trading it in to a store in Texas. Freddie owned quite a few guitars in his days but not many cherry ES's. There were two ES 345s and two ES 355s this being one of them. There were also not many pics of Freddie in the middle to late 60s.These are the pics of this guitar. In the one pic you will notice the damage from sweat getting under the guard. Freddie would sweat terribly when playing but it did not damage the guitar in any way, just the finish. It comes with very detailed provenance so your investment will be protected and authenticated. I have actually used this guitar and was blown away by how great it sounds. It is all original except for a stop tail that bypasses the tailpiece. The original tailpiece comes with it.. Also comes with it's original case with the original stenciling on it. Prefer the buyer picks this guitar up if possible? I have enjoyed it for years and time to pass it on...
