1968 Gibson ES-355 Rare Mono Cherry w No Varitone

Super Rare Factory Mono Electronics (no Stereo or Varitone) with factory tailpiece!
A dynamite player with a super cool vintage vibe in very good vintage condition! The cherry finish has a nice patina w serial number matching on the Orange Label inside the F Hole. Original Patent # pickups w the covers never removed! Original Factory Chrome Hardware including Waffleback tuners, PU Covers and Tailpiece.

In very good vintage condition for its age, but does show signs of wear, various nicks, chips, dents & dings; particularly on the bottom edge with weather checking & some finish wear.

There is significant wear around the neck heel as it looks like it may have been from a large strap rubbing against it, but does not impact playability! There's a very small area in the Original Tortoise pickguard near the bridge pickup that is deteriorating a bit.
No Cracks, breaks or repairs.

Mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding w Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays w Original frets in great shape with the ES355 Bound headstock with mother of pearl diamond inlays & Gibson logo. Nickel"waffle back" tuners are in perfect working condition, however the G tuner is slightly bent, but still functions fine. 1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length.

Semi-hollow maple body w Chrome trapeze tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with adjustable nylon saddles. ES355 5-ply bound tortoise pickguard Guitar weighs 8 lbs1.2 oz. Non-Original Modern Gibson humbuckers with black bezels & original chrome covers. Bridge - 7.93K ohms; Neck - 7.61K ohms.

Period-correct, vintage Gibson hardshell case with yellow interior included.
