1981 Gibson Explorer White
This '81 is as mean as they come. It's broken but certainly not beaten. It's in great playing shape so it's ready for another round in the ring. Yep, there's a neck heel crack that is not pretty but is solid. It's had a tuner swap and the old holes were filled and the headstock oversprayed to conceal the work. It was a good job and the color matches quite well which is very hard to do with white finishes.
As the 80's was the height of modding your guitar it is nice to see that this one has the original "Tar-back" Gibson pickups in there (though it did have a stint with some other pickups over the years).
