Description

This Gibson Firebird was made in the USA in 1982. It’s a wonderful player’s grade Firebird that sounds and feels amazing. Thanks to the regular non-banjo tuners and normal thickness headstock this guitar is lightweight and has very little neck dive. It’s been played hard for many years and someone removed the finish a long time ago even though there are still some remnants of the original finish still on the body. Also it was routed for a full size humbucker in the bridge position but it has had no breaks or structural damage. Currently the pickups are a Seymour Duncan Antiquity JB humbucker in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan Antiquity Firebird pickup in the neck. The pickups, pots, switch, wiring and jack are not original however the tuners, bridge and tailpiece are. It even has a faded 1976 Bicentennial Firebird pickguard which just adds to the allure of this guitar. The guitar comes with a non original generic hard case.
