Description

This first-year Gibson Firebird V comes in its original Polaris White finish! This whole guitar has taken on slight yellowing to the clear, leaving us with this gorgeous, creamy color. As an early example from 1963, there is no Firebird logo on the pickguard. This model features Gibson’s first neck-thru-body design. Like this one, the earliest examples feature four pieces glued together to make up the body’s center and “wings.” This Firebird has excellent sustain and is original, including these frets! The fretboard inlays on this guitar are pretty dark, aged, and smokey, a cool look on this Rosewood board! There are some marks, dings, and edgewear around the whole guitar, and it looks like a previous owner attempted to make them look less noticeable by touching up the small areas with white paint.

Overall Condition: 7.5, plenty of playwear and checking throughout this beautiful bird!
