Description

In 1958 Gibson debuted one of the most recognizable and innovative guitar designs of all time; the Flying V. It proved to be too radical for most players at that time, but in 1967 a very brief run was brought back to the product line. These featured a solid mahogany body with a set mahogany neck, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, and Gibson's Maestro short vibrato tailpiece. The original humbucking pickups sound fantastic while the famous body design allows unrestricted access to the entire fingerboard. A nearly invisable headstock repair was performed at some time in the guitar's life but it doesn't effect the playability or stop this from being a great sounding guitar. This instrument includes the original hardshell case, as well as an SKB case for added security when transporting it. With only about 175 original '67 Flying V's made this is certainly a rare guitar and an ideal addition to any collection!
