When introduced in 1958 Gibson's radical "Flying V" design went mostly unappreciated by musicians at the time, but history has proven it to be one of the most enduring and iconic guitar designs of all time. Reintroduced for a short run in 1967, it wasn't until the 70's that they returned to the product line. Now Flying V's can be seen on some of the worlds biggest stages and have even become part of the iconography of bands like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. This phenomenal 1975 model features a rare "Sunburst" finish; one of only a limited number that year to feature that option. An original pair of T-top humbucking pickups combined with a resonant mahogany body makes for a guitar that drips with great rock n' roll tone. Lightweight and comfortable, this guitar is in fantastic condition with no breaks or repairs. A previous owner removed the bridge cover but this remains an otherwise original example of one of the coolest electric guitar models around!
