1967 Gibson Hummingbird acoustic guitar (natural top) w/hsc

Very good condition+ '67 Gibson Hummingbird with a natural finish top. The mahogany sides and back are crack free as is the neck, heel and head stock. The top has what appears to be a repaired hairline crack (very fine) that runs from the bridge to the binding near the treble wing of the bridge. It is flat, tight and stable, and visible only under the right reflective light. The guitar has had the original adjustable saddle removed and replaced with a fixed/bone saddle insert but the lugs for the adjustable poles were left alone so the guitar could be retrofitted for the original configuration again if desired. The original bridge is unaltered by this change. All interior bracing is original and intact. With the exception of the saddle and bridge pins the guitar is original including finish. The lacquer finish shows fine crazing all over the top and some minor nicks and dings but generally less than average for a near 50 year old. There is minor play wear at the edge of the sound hole and a few superficial pick scrapes on the top finish. The back and side finish, as well as the finish on the neck barrel and headstock, is very clean and without significant wear. The neck is straight and the frets are in good condition, they show some pit wear in the first position but not severe, there's enough crown left for them to be leveled and recrowned if desired. The wear is not significant enough currently to cause buzz or intonation issues. The truss rod functions perfectly. The neck is 1 9/16" at the nut, Gibson's skinniest for an acoustic. Action is currently at 7/64" at the low E and 6/64" at the high D at the 12th fret with just shy of 1/8" of saddle showing above the slot. Big, jangly country tone! Comes with a hard shell case that is more than likely the original and is in very good condition as well. $4250 + shipping, NYS buyers add 8% sales tax.
